Guidelines for the elaboration of the Abstracts
The 1º Conferência de Saúde Societal “Societal health in the post-covid-19 future” aims to promote interdisciplinary dialogue, creating a space for sharing contributions from behavioural, social, information sciences and technologies to address the major future challenges in health.
Abstracts can be submitted to propose oral communications or posters in the thematic areas of the conference (see below the thematic areas). Different types of proposals are accepted, either empirical studies or theoretical contributions.
The submitted abstracts should not exceed 500 words. They will be accepted in Portuguese (official language of the Congress) and in English.
Abstracts must be submitted until May 15, 2022 by filling out the form available here on the website.
The abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee and the result will be communicated between May 24 and 25, 2022.
Each participant can be the author of several papers but can only do one oral communication.

Thematic areas of the Conference
Theme 1 – Heathier lifestyles and preventing diseases
This theme will include all (inter)disciplinary research that produces detailed evidence on lifestyles and working/occupational conditions, their impact on the prevention of physical and psychological illness, as well as on systems or technological interventions/solutions that aim at health promotion and disease prevention in the global population.
Theme 2 – Stress, chronic diseases and improvement of the quality of life
This theme will include all (inter)disciplinary research that produces detailed knowledge on stress, chronic diseases and disabilities, their impact on population quality of life and sustainability of health systems, as well as on the development of systems/programmes/technological solutions for early intervention and/or promotion of rehabilitation and improvement of quality of life.
Theme 3 – Sexual and reproductive health rights
This theme will include all (inter)disciplinary research that focuses on ethics, rights, representations, practices, systems/programmes/technological solutions of intervention, related to the sexual and reproductive health of populations.
Theme 4 – Health-related inequalities
This theme will include all (inter)disciplinary research that focuses on the general theme of social inequalities (e.g. gender, age, social class, ethnicity, sexual orientation) in health and well-being as well as in the access and use of the health system and services (digital or otherwise) by members of minority and/or vulnerable groups.
Theme 5 – Effectiveness of health systems and services
This theme will include all (inter)disciplinary research that focuses on technological, organisational and management innovations for the development of future health professionals and more efficient, innovative and/or patient-centred health systems.
